Anesthesia Associates of Rochester P.C.

Anesthesia Associates of Rochester, PC, is a physician group composed of forty-two specialty trained anesthesiologists. Each member has completed an undergraduate degree and has completed four years of medical school and 4-5 years of additional residency training in anesthesiology.  Some have completed further sub-specialty training in anesthesia related fields including pain management and cardiac anesthesia.

We currently provide all anesthesia care services for Rochester General HospitalNewark-Wayne Community HospitalRochester Ambulatory Surgical Center and Clifton Springs Hospital. We are committed to provide high quality, compassionate anesthesia care to patients in the Greater Rochester area.

As perioperative physicians, we are primarily responsible for the safety and well-being of our patients before, during and after surgery. Our physicians collaborate with nurse practitioners, who perform the majority of preoperative history and physical exams at Rochester General Hospital.  Our care begins with the preoperative assessment where your anesthesiologist carefully reviews your medical history and your current state of health.  Your anesthesiologist will perform a focused physical exam and then, while considering input from your surgeon, will prescribe your anesthetic care.  In the operating room we provide continuous pain relief and sustain each patient’s critical life functions as those functions are affected though out surgical, obstetrical or other medical procedures. In the post anesthesia care unit (recovery room), and postoperatively, your anesthesiologist will continue your care by treating your physical needs and managing postoperative pain.
